アール壁を差し込み光と風が巡るマンションリノベーション

目黒川沿いに建つビンテージマンションの1室を全面リノベーションした計画である。
矩形であるマンションの1室に、アール壁を配置することにより柔らかく動きのある空間を構成した。また構造壁となる壁を避けながら廊下を配置することによって生まれた斜廊も全体の矩形への変化ある動線となった。
アール壁で仕切られた部分はプライベートスペースとし、それ以外の部分の場がパブリックスペースとして家族の居場所となる。垂れ壁や建具の開閉で用途やエリア分けをしながら、全体として視線が抜け、風が抜け、光が回っていくことを意図している。
既存躯体の木毛セメント型枠の天井などの既存の素材感をデザイン要素として積極的に受け入れながら、ここでしか出来ないデザインが実現している。
3方に開けた空間に、光や風がアール壁に沿いながら柔らかく巡りながら、新たな生活を包み込んでいくことだろう。（渡辺ガク）

Renovation of a condominium where the light and wind circulate through the bent wall

This project is a complete renovation of a vintage apartment building along the Meguro River.
I created a space with softness and movement by placing an articulated wall in a rectangular apartment. Also, by arranging the corridor while avoiding the structural wall, the diagonal corridor became a changing flow line to the whole rectangle.
The area divided by the arched wall is a private space, while the rest of the house is a public space where the family can live. While dividing the space into different uses and areas by opening and closing the hanging walls and fittings, the overall intention is to allow the line of sight, wind, and light to flow through.
The existing materials, such as the wood-wool cement formwork ceiling of the existing frame, are actively accepted as design elements while realizing a design that can only be done here.
The space is open on three sides, and light and wind will softly circulate along the articulated walls, enveloping the new life. (Gaku Watanabe)
