「降り続く雨」という意味の言葉「宿雨」を店名としたコーヒースタンドの計画。
計画地はテナントビル1階。少し奥まった区画だが、前面道路からのほどよい距離や共用部の軒下空間に魅力を感じた。
まず木を紺色に染色し、木目を「雨が降る様や水溜りの波紋」に見立て、空間を覆い、「宿雨」としての特徴的な風景をつくった。
建物も紺色なので、店舗との境目が薄くなり、内外が連続した空間となった。よって境界になりかねない店舗サインは付けないこととした。
染色された木は引きで見るとただの紺色に見え、近づくにつれて木目が現れる。結果、ゲストは気負いなく宿雨の世界に浸ることになる。
家具は白木の塊が積み重なる形状とし、一部リースラインを超えて使える引出しテーブルやスツールにすることで、自然と共用部や街を使えるようにしている。
5.5坪と狭小空間ながら広がりのある空間性を担保しつつ、ブランドアイデンティティを確保することを目指した。（田中了多）
A coffee stand that eliminates boundaries and creates scenery
This is a plan for a coffee stand named after the word “Shuku,” which means “rain that keeps falling.”
The project site is on the first floor of a tenant building. The site is a little secluded, but the distance from the road and the space under the eaves of the common area are appealing.
First of all, I stained the wood dark blue and made the grain of the wood look like a “raining landscape” or “ripples in a puddle,” covering the space and creating a characteristic landscape as “Shuku.”
Since the building is also dark blue, the border between the store and the common area becomes thin, and the interior and exterior become a continuous space.
Therefore, we decided not to put signs that could have become boundaries.
The stained wood looks just dark blue when seen from a distance, but as you get closer, the grain of the wood appears.
As a result, the guests are naturally immersed in the world of “Shuku.”
The furniture is made in the shape of a pile of white wooden blocks, some of which can be used beyond the lease line as pull-out tables and stools so that the common areas and the town can be used naturally.
Although it is a narrow space, we aimed to secure the brand identity while ensuring expansive spatiality. (Ryota Tanaka)
