東京ポートシティ竹芝の3階に位置する〈CIELITO LINDO BAR AND GRILL〉。長さ30mの長方形の区画は前面がガラス張りになっており、その前には緑豊かなテラスが広がっている。コンセプトを「アーバン・ボタニカル・ガーデン」とし、テラスにあるグリーンの延長として店内にもグリーンを施すことで、洗練されたガーデンレストランの雰囲気を生み出している。
エントランスにはレセプションとウェイティングソファがあり、正面にあるキッチンがシズル感を演出。オープンキッチンの上部にはメキシコの偉人たちをモチーフに、キュビズム様式で描いたメキシコ版「最後の晩餐」が出迎える。
キーワードのボタニカルは、イスやソファの生地、カーテンのペイズリー柄、ペンダントライトのツタ、壁面の緑化などで表現。中央ロングテーブルのイスは、L型にして隣り合う席とのパーソナルスペースを確保すると同時に、密接に囲われたカップルシートとしての役割を果たしている。
バーが隣接するブース席間には、メキシコからの調度品をディスプレイすることでクラス感を上げるとともに、お客様同士の目線が合わないよう配慮した。このエリアのサッシはバー部分も含めて全開口とし、開放的な空間になることで今の時代に適した環境になっていると思う。
空間の中にさまざまなパターンの客席をつくることで、TPOによって使い分けでき、リピーターのお客様にも飽きのこない空間を提供している。（佐野岳士）
An open Mexican restaurant with a botanical setting that integrates with the terrace
“CIELITO LINDO BAR AND GRILL” is located on the third floor of Tokyo Portcity Takeshiba. The 30-meter-long rectangular space has a glass wall, and a lush green terrace spreads out in front of it. The restaurant’s concept is an “urban botanical garden,” and the greenery on the terrace is an extension of the greenery inside the restaurant, creating the atmosphere of a sophisticated garden restaurant.
The entrance has a reception area and waiting sofas, and the kitchen in front creates a sizzling atmosphere. Above the open kitchen, a Mexican version of “The Last Supper,” depicting Mexican greats in a cubist style, greets you.
The keyword “botanical” is expressed in the fabric of the chairs and sofas, the paisley pattern of the curtains, the ivy of the pendant lights, and the greenery on the walls. The chairs at the long table in the center are L-shaped to ensure personal space between adjacent seats while at the same time serving as closely enclosed couple seats.
Between the booth seats where the bar is adjacent to the bar, furnishings from Mexico are displayed to increase the sense of class and to prevent customers from looking at each other. In addition, the sashes in this area, including the bar area, are all open, creating an open space that I believe is a suitable environment for today’s times.
Creating a variety of seating patterns within the space makes it possible to use the area according to the TPO, providing a space that will not become boring for repeat customers. (Takeshi Sano)
