大暖簾をくぐり、一度下がった目線を上げると富士山が目の前に広がる。人の動作と出来事の流れを併せて考えていた。
富士山の麓、三島市は富士山からの溶岩とその恩恵でできた美しい水の街で、とても特徴的な体験のある場所である。
それらとつながったものとして、新しく出来上がる空間を存在させたいと思った。
風景を望むロビー。格子の奥行でできたレストラン。飛び石を進んだ先にある湯船。日本らしい寛ぎの客室。
それらを地元の石や木の色かたちを配置しながら、日本の庭のようなシークエンスのある空間体験として構成した。
日本での、三島での空間体験と連なったものとして。（たしろまさふみ）
Hotel interior that expresses the continuity of actions with local materials
I passed through the large curtain and raised my eyes to see Mt. Fuji in front of me. I was thinking about the movement of people and the flow of events.
Mishima City, located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, is a city of beautiful water created by lava from Mt. Fuji and its bounty. It is a place of very distinctive experiences for me.
We wanted to create a new space that would be connected to these elements.
A lobby with a view of the landscape, a restaurant made of the depth of a lattice, a bathtub at the end of steppingstones, and relaxing guest rooms that are uniquely Japanese.
I composed them as a spatial experience with a sequence like a Japanese garden while arranging the colors and shapes of local stones and trees.
The project was planned as something linked to the spatial experience in Japan and in Mishima City. (Masafumi Tashiro)
