富山市の中心市街地から程近い位置に建つ、戸建て住宅の計画である。
建主は仕事や暮らしを通して、街や街の人と深い関わりをもっており、本を読むのは図書館へ、コーヒーを飲むならコーヒーショップへなど、 『街を家の延長として使いたい』という、要望のもと設計がはじまった。
そうした背景から本計画では、「街」との関係をおおらかに優しく見守る屋根、「街」と生活の領域を調整する大きな扉、「街」の中で生活を守るための棲家が集合体として1つの形となった。
家の中で日常を完結するのではなく、外に出て街のコンテンツを楽しみ、またこの家から暮らしの一部を街に放っていく、街と息を合わせながら共に育まれる住宅を目指している。

A home that integrates the city into daily life and walks alongside you
This project involves the design of a single-family home located a short distance from downtown Toyama City.
The client has deep ties to the city and its people through work and daily life. The design process began with the client’s request to “use the city as an extension of the home”—for example, going to the library to read or to a coffee shop for a cup of coffee.
Against this backdrop, the design coalesced into a unified form comprising a roof that gently and generously watches over the relationship with the “city, a large door that mediates the boundary between the “city” and the living space, and a dwelling that safeguards daily life within the “city.”
Rather than confining daily life entirely within the house, the goal is to create a home that grows in harmony with the city—one where residents step outside to enjoy the city’s offerings and, in turn, share aspects of their daily lives with it.
