ロジェ・ボルツハウザーの展覧会「GROUND / 地」SHIBAURA HOUSEにて開催、トークイベントに長坂常、石上純也ら登壇

東京・芝浦にある〈SHIBAURA HOUSE〉にて、スイス・チューリヒを拠点に活動する建築家のロジェ・ボルツハウザー（Roger Boltshauser）について紹介する展覧会「GROUND / 地」が10月24日より開催されます。

本展は、ロジェ・ボルツハウザーと共に、アトリエ・アンドレア・ガスナー（Atelier Andrea Gassner）が構想・キュレーションを手がけ、ボルツハウザーのこれまでの作品群を、それ自体で完結したものとして展示するのではなく、設計し、建てることへの姿勢にも焦点があてられます。ひとりの建築家の作品やこれまでの活動について掘り下げて紹介するモノグラフ展ではなく、ヨーロッパと日本の建築文化が出会う場として構想されており、本展タイトルの「GROUND / 地」とは、地面、大地、素材、基礎を意味すると同時に、すでに存在するもの、建築の拠りどころとしての文脈も意味しているとのこと。素材性、土建築、再生素材の可能性に関するボルツハウザーの作品および継続的な研究を紹介する展覧会です。

ヨーロッパと日本の建築文化の対話の場となることを目指す本展では、日本の建築家をゲストに招いてトークイベントも開催されます。ボルツハウザーとの対話を通じて、日本・スイスの異なる文化的視点、共通の問い、建築の未来を探っていく予定です。

«Ground» is the title of an exhibition dedicated to the work of Roger Boltshauser. The title refers to the ground, the earth, material and foundation, as well as to what already exists and to context as the basis of architecture. From 24 October to 1 November 2026, Shibaura House in Tokyo becomes a place of architectural conversation. Together with Roger Boltshauser, Atelier Andrea Gassner has conceived and curated the exhibition. Rather than presenting a body of work as something complete and selfcontained, the exhibition focuses on a particular attitude towards designing and building. Architects and designers from Japan enter into dialogue with Roger Boltshauser, exploring different cultural perspectives, shared questions, and the future of building. In this way, Ground is not conceived as a monographic exhibition, but as a meeting ground between European and Japanese architectural cultures.
