敷地遠景に玉川上水の豊かな緑を望む住宅である。2階にもち上げられたリビングは，架構を露しにした明るく開放的な空間としている。スキップした床によって領域が分けられ、ダイニング側には家族が集う床座の大きなテーブルを造り付けた。高床側とつながるテラスにはベンチを造り付け、遠景の緑を生活の一部に取り込んでいる。
浴室や洗面スペース、室内干しができ更衣スペースも兼ねたユーティリティまでを一直線につなげた構成や、そこからつながるテラスなど、家族の生活動線にも思慮を重ねた。ダイニングを見下ろすロフトは，玉川上水の緑を望み、快適なこもりスペースとなっている。
エントランスのピロティは駐車スペースであると同時に、奥の中庭へと視線を導き、住宅密集地の閉塞感を少しでも軽減できるようにとの思いから設けたものだ。玉川上水の風景をつなげる、街にひらかれた都市型住宅である。（関本竜太）
Urban housing that connects landscapes with a view of the greenery of the river
This house overlooks the rich greenery of Tamagawa josui in the distance. The living room, raised on the second floor, is a bright and airy space with an exposed structure. The area is divided by a skipped floor, and on the dining side, a large table is built for family gatherings. A bench is built on the terrace that connects to the high floor side, and the greenery in the distance is incorporated into daily life.
The bathroom, washroom, and utility area, which also serves as a changing area for drying clothes indoors, are connected straight. The loft overlooking the dining room is a comfortable retreat with a view of the greenery of Tamagawa josui.
The pilotis at the entrance are a parking space and lead the eye to the courtyard at the back of the house to reduce the sense of confinement in a dense residential area. It is an urban residence open to the city that connects to the landscape of Tamagawa josui. (Ryota Sekimoto)
