「趣味のお菓子作りができる大きなアイランドカウンターが主役の空間」。施主の要望は初めから明確だった。広々としたキッチンを実現するにはマンションの既存の間取りが重要になると察し、物件選びから相談を受け、内覧に同行し青写真を想像しながら物件契約までサポートしてプロジェクトを進めていった。
3LDKの壁を取り払い、アイランドカウンターを中央に配した明快なワンルームの構成。壁面側にはキッチンカウンター、食器や家電の収納スペース、冷蔵庫などがフラットに収まるよう設計している。それらはスムースな作業動線として機能を果たし、アイランドカウンターの存在感をより際立たせている。
空間のマテリアルは、北欧家具やヴィンテージ家具を置くことを念頭に決めていった。味のある家具と調和が保てるよう、オーク材のフローリングにハンドスクレイプ加工＋グレー染色＋との粉（白い木の粉）仕上げを施している。
全体の照明には無線調光システム「Smart LEDZ Base」を採用。アプリで調光・調色が操作でき、毎日の生活に合わせたスケジュール設定が可能だ。Google Homeとの連携でハンズフリーでの操作もできる。
床・壁・天井の入隅出隅の安易な凹凸は、知らず知らずのうちに、住む人へノイズとして違和感を与え続けてしまうものだ。住まいとしての機能を満たしながら、目にも心地よい空間となるよう、不要なノイズを極力取り除くことを意識した。結果としてお菓子作りに没頭できるコンパクトで上質な空間に出来上がったのではないだろうか。（亀田 潤、佐々木洸奈）
Noiseless space where the island counter takes center stage
“I want to create a space where a large island countertop is a main, where I can do my baking hobby.” The client’s request was clear from the beginning. We knew that the existing layout of the apartment would be important to realize a spacious kitchen, so we consulted with the client during the selection of the property, accompanied him on the property viewing, and helped him imagine a blueprint for the project until the property contract was signed.
The walls of the 3LDK were removed to create a clear one-room configuration with an island counter in the center. The kitchen counter, storage space for dishes and appliances, and refrigerator were designed to fit flat on the wall side. They function as a smooth workflow and accentuate the presence of the island counter.
The materials of the space were decided with Scandinavian and vintage furniture in mind. To maintain harmony with the tasteful furnishings, the oak flooring is hand-scraped, gray stained, and white wood powder finish.
The entire lighting system uses the Smart LEDZ Base wireless dimming system. The dimming and color control can be controlled via an app, and schedules can be set to suit daily life. Hands-free operation is also possible in conjunction with Google Home.
Unevenness in the corners of floors, walls, and ceilings can unintentionally create noise and a sense of discomfort for residents. Therefore, we were conscious of eliminating unnecessary noise as much as possible to create a space pleasing to the eye while fulfilling its function as a residence.
