大学病院と提携し医学的根拠に基づいたパーソナルトレーニングを提供するMEDiGYMの移転プロジェクト。リニューアルに伴いTTNE監修のカラーサウナを導入し、メディカルトレーニングとカラーメディテーションを組み合わせたコンセプト「med.」を提案した。
空間はキャラクター性を排除したニュートラルなグレーを基調とし、カラーサウナと連動するようジムスペースにもRGB調色照明を設置、またトレーニングのモチベーションを高めるようなアクセントとして、ネオンサインやダイクロイックフィルムを配置した。
オーバーヘッドシャワーには冷水チラーを組み込み、ドライエリアを利用して外気浴スペースを設置、コンパクトな空間ながら機能を充実させた。
南青山のビルの地下にあるとは思えないデザイン性の高い隠れ家のような空間になった。（齊藤寿康）
A personal gym like a hideout with a color sauna
Relocation project for MEDiGYM, which provides medically based personal training in partnership with a university hospital. The renovation included the introduction of a color sauna supervised by TTNE and the concept of “med.”
The space is based on a neutral gray tone that eliminates character, and RGB color-controlled lighting was installed in the gym space to work in tandem with the colored sauna. Neon signs and dichroic films were used as accents to motivate the user to work out.
The overhead showers are equipped with a cold-water chiller, and a dry area is used to create an outdoor air bath space, making the space compact yet fully functional.
The space became a well-designed retreat that one would not expect to find in the basement of a building in Minami Aoyama. (Toshiyasu Saito)
