美容室として、またブライダルサロンとして長きにわたり地域に愛されてきた。
本プロジェクトは老舗ホテル「ホテルオークラ京都」からの移転計画。
髪を切らない新しいヘアサロンブランド「mokara bridal」を立ち上げた。
ブライダルサロンとして、シャンプー台を設置せず、ヘアセット・メイク・着付けのみの営業に大きく方向転換し、大胆にターゲット層を絞ったストイックさを内装にも反映し、インテリアカラーをホワイトカラーに大きく振った。
特別な1日を迎えるお客様を迎えるサロンとして。
出張へ、全国に飛び出していくヘアメイクアップアーティストたちのベース基地として。
思い出の写真を残す撮影スタジオとしてさまざまな顔をもち、無限の意味を投じられる真っ白な器が完成した。（奥村基之）
A pure white bridal salon expressing infinity
Established in 1951. REKO Beauty Salon operates three salons in Kyoto.
The community has long loved it as a beauty salon and bridal salon.
This project is a relocation plan from the long-established Hotel Okura Kyoto.
A new hair salon brand, “mokara bridal,” which does not cut hair, was launched.
As a bridal salon, the direction of the business was drastically changed to only hair set, makeup, and dressing without a shampoo stand.
The salon was designed to welcome customers on their special day.
As a base for hair and makeup artists who go on business trips across the country.
The white vessel that has various faces as a photography studio to preserve memorable photos is now complete and can be filled with infinite meanings. (Motoyuki Okumura)
