常盤台の地名の由来となった”常盤の松”は、冬でも葉を落とさず青々と茂ることから、変わらぬ豊かさや永遠の象徴とされている。その思想を建築に託し、7戸からなる長屋を計画した。
住戸は”円”を描くように配置され、中心の共用空間を囲むように住戸が並ぶことで、ほどよい距離感と穏やかな繋がりが生まれた。それぞれの住戸には”虹”にちなんだ7色のテーマカラーを用い、個性と調和をさりげなく表現した。外壁の一部には、自然に還るレンガを採用。時とともに味わいを深め、街並みに溶け込んでいく。敷地周りには常盤の松にならい、四季を感じられる緑化を施した。
始まりも終わりもない”円”、再生の象徴である”虹”、自然に還る”レンガ”。すべての要素が、変わらない価値をそっと支える、永く街に根づく住まいを目指した。

A residential complex fostering a comfortable sense of distance through its central courtyard
The “Evergreen Pine” that gave Tokiwadai its name is revered as a symbol of enduring abundance and eternity, remaining lush and green even in winter. We entrusted this philosophy to the architecture, designing a row house comprising seven units.
The units are arranged in a circular pattern, surrounding a central communal space. This layout creates a comfortable sense of distance and gentle connection. Each unit features one of seven theme colors inspired by the rainbow, subtly expressing individuality and harmony. Part of the exterior walls uses bricks that return to nature over time, deepening in character and blending seamlessly into the streetscape. Surrounding the site, greenery was planted to evoke the evergreen pine, allowing residents to experience the changing seasons.
The circle, with no beginning or end; the rainbow, symbolizing renewal; the bricks, returning to nature. All these elements aim to quietly support enduring values, creating homes that will take root in the neighborhood for generations.
