ご両親世帯＋息子さん世帯＋娘さんのための3世帯住宅。
敷地は丘陵地で南側に急傾斜がある、高低差の激しい地域である。敷地内では南側半分が急勾配になっていて、手つかずの雑木林のような庭が残されていた。庭の緑は青々としていて美しく思われたので、庭の環境を残したいという考えはコストの面からも、クライアントと意見が一致した。
そのような条件を踏まえ、私たちは敷地の中心に南北を通す空間「通/トオシ」を提案した。風の通し、視線の通し、人と人の通し、「通/トオシ」は3つの意味をもつ。「通/トオシ」の空間は建具を開け放すと道路と庭をつなぐ半屋外的な場となるため、家の中にいるようで、街や庭の中にいるような感覚を覚える。
世帯間の距離感を保ちつつ、環境も家族も一体となるような、多世帯で暮らす楽しみを共有できる場になることを願っている。（阿部智樹、工藤良子）
A house of 3 households that makes use of the gradient to let the wind, eyes and people pass through
This is a three-family house for parents’ household, son’s household, and daughter’s household.
The site is located in a hilly area with a steep slope on the south side. The southern half of the site is steeply sloped, leaving behind a new, wooded garden. The greenery in the garden seemed lush and beautiful, and the client and I agreed that we wanted to preserve the garden environment, even from a cost perspective.
Given these conditions, we proposed “Street,” a space in the center of the site that runs north to south. “Street” has three meanings: the passage of wind, sight, and passage of people to people. When the fittings are opened up, the “Street” space becomes a semi-outdoor space connecting the street and the garden, giving the feeling of being inside the house and inside the city and the garden.
I hope that this space will become a place where people can share the joy of living in a multi-family house, where the environment and the family become one while maintaining a sense of distance between households. (Tomoki Abe, Ryoko Kudo)
