(English below)

A house with a ceiling and deck like the inside of a ship

Climbing up the narrow alley along the terraced hills and looking back, the view of the sea opens up. The living space is composed by extending such a fishing village lifeline into the interior.
The ship’s bottom ceiling, which runs from the top of the entrance to the dining room, becomes a ledge toward the living room at the far end of the site, and the upper surface of the ledge continues outside as a deck. Finally, the bow of the ship is a roof that returns the view from the narrow alley to the sea, creating a variety of places in a single space. (Hiroshi Ninomiya + Kazuko Hishiya)
