Geeklyのヘッドオフィスのデザイン。会社として新しいステージを迎えるに当たって、新しく構えるオフィスは今までの延長線上のアップデートではなく、”革新”を表現したいというリクエストがあった。我々がポイントにしたのは”オフィスらしくないオフィス”ということと、新しいステージをどう内装で表現するかということである。
これらを実現するため、通常のオフィスで見られるシステム天井やOAフロアといったオフィス然とした要素は極力そぎ落とし、オフィスという内部空間と対極にある外部空間のようでありながら、ギャラリーのような体験が歩行感覚や五感を通じて感じられる空間を目指した。
照明は、プログラムを組んで常に流れている動きをベースとしながら、印象的に幕照明を使用し機能性のある部分をアイキャッチで分かりやすく誘導する仕組みにした。マテリアルは、施主のリクエストにより極力硬質な印象を与えるマテリアルとして、ガラス、石材、アルミを使用し重さや硬さを印象として感じられる造形とした。照明と造形のバランスに加え、外光が入らない空間にすることにより、時間感覚をも奪われた宇宙空間のような感覚になり、今までのオフィスとは違った感覚が得られるだろう。

An office built with hard materials, unlike any typical office
Geekly’s Head Office Design. As the company entered a new stage, the request was for the new office to express “innovation,” not merely an update along the lines of the past. Our key points were creating an “office that doesn’t feel like an office” and expressing this new stage through the interior design.
To achieve this, we minimized typical office elements like suspended ceilings and raised access floors. We aimed for a space that feels like an external environment—opposite to the usual office interior—while offering a gallery-like experience perceived through walking sensations and the five senses.
Lighting features are programmed, with constantly flowing movements as a base. We used dramatic curtain lighting to create an impression, while eye-catching elements clearly guide functional areas. Materials, selected at the client’s request to convey a hard, solid impression, include glass, stone, and aluminum, forming shapes that evoke a sense of weight and rigidity. Combining a balance of lighting and form with the absence of natural light creates a space that feels like outer space, where even the sense of time is lost, offering a distinct sensation from conventional offices.
