宮崎県延岡市にある電気設備会社の建て替え工事計画である。敷地はのどかな田園地帯にあり外輪山まで見通すことができる。
中庭のある回遊プランと半フリーアドレスによって、普段は直行直帰の多い社員同士のコミュニケーション活性化を図っている。点在する家具や植物が、休息や水やりによって社員同士が「かかわる」ことを根付かせる。
作業場である1階ピロティと執務エリアである2階スペースは、将来的にマルシェや塾として一部を地域住民に開放され、地域を支える会社として開かれた社屋を目指す。（中園美博、小川敏之）
An office with a panel structure open to the city
This is a reconstruction project for an electrical equipment company in Nobeoka City, Miyazaki Prefecture. The site is in a peaceful rural area with a view of the city’s outer rim.
A circular plan with a courtyard and a semi-free address system is intended to stimulate communication among employees, many of whom usually go directly to work and return home. Scattered furniture and plants encourage employees to “get involved” with each other by resting and watering their plants.
In the future, a portion of the first-floor pilotis, which is the work area, and the second-floor space, which is the office area, will be opened to residents for use as a marché and cram school, aiming to create a company building open to the public as a company that supports the community.
