大阪で保育園・学童・放課後デイサービス・習い事の複合型福祉施設の設計・監理を行った。
行政間の垣根を超えた民間の力で自立する福祉活動への取組みや、さまざまな人の関わりが化学反応を起こす。そのような環境で子供たちを育てる。人種、年齢、ジェンダー、障害者など人的障壁に加え、教育、福祉における行政管轄による障壁。ありとあらゆる障壁を取り払い、本物の福祉を行う。これが〈TERRA〉の目的であった。
アウトドアカフェやキッチンカー出店などのイベントが可能な前面のテラス空間に、街のスケールを意識した1.5層分の高さのアルミルーバーを架けテラスに影を与えている。また大型犬が洗えるスペースも併設し、このテラス空間が地域の交流を促す。
学童スペース、放課後デイサービスの間は軽やかなカーテンの仕切りのみとし、自然光の明るい場所や少し暗く床のレベルを下げて落ち着いたラウンジスペース、庭が眺めるカウンターデスクなど、自然光の抑揚ある空間が障壁なく繋がっている。
学童スペースには朝の光が降り注ぐ吹き抜けがあり2階の保育、習い事のスペースを視覚的に繋ぎ、いつでも上下階の雰囲気を互いに感じられるようにした。
雨の日でもアウトドアを活用できるインナーバルコニーのある保育室、隣地の瓦屋根が見える習い事のスペース、大きな遊戯室には風の流れを誘引する排煙トップライトを設けている。この排煙トップライトにはスギの羽目板でできた円筒を装着し、時間により異なる自然を感じることができ、健康的な空間を子供たちに与えている。（長坂純明）
A complex welfare facility that raises children with an architecture that embodies the removal of barriers
We designed and supervised a complex welfare facility in Osaka, including a nursery school, school children, after-school day service, and lessons.
Efforts for self-sustaining welfare activities with the power of the private sector that transcends the boundaries between governments and the involvement of various people create a chemical reaction. Children are raised in such an environment. In addition to human barriers such as race, age, gender, and disabilities, there are also barriers in education and welfare caused by administrative jurisdiction. We will break down all barriers and provide genuine interest. This was the goal of TERRA.
The terrace space in front of the building, where events such as outdoor cafes and kitchen car stalls can be held, is covered with aluminum louvers 1.5 stories high to give shade to the terrace in consideration of the scale of the city. There is also a space where large dogs can be washed, and this terrace space encourages interaction among the community.
The school children’s space and the after-school day service are separated only by light curtains. They are connected without barriers by a space with natural light, a slightly darkened lounge space with a lowered floor level, and a counter desk with a view of the garden.
The school children’s space has an atrium with morning light that visually connects the childcare and study spaces on the second floor so that the atmosphere of the upper and lower floors can be felt mutually at any time.
The nursery has an inner balcony that can be used for outdoor activities even on rainy days, the study space has a view of the neighboring tiled roof, and the large playroom has a smoke exhausting top light that draws wind flow. These smoke exhaust top lights are fitted with cedar paneling cylinders, giving the children a healthy space to feel the different nature at different times. (Yoshiaki Nagasaka)
