2階中央に配置された床座の居間「パレット」は、さまざまな生活スタイルに柔軟に応答するための仕掛けである。家族皆が勉強や仕事をする巨大なテーブルでもあり、ルーフテラスやロフトと連動した子供の遊び場にもなる。その下部は床下収納になっている。（二宮 博＋菱谷和子）
A house that is integrated with work and housing that responds with a mechanism that is both a floor and a table
While the exterior has a taciturn gable-roofed appearance, the interior allows sunlight to enter through the roof terrace, which is hollowed out of the roof, creating an open view of the sky.
The “palette,” a sitting room located in the center of the second floor, is a mechanism for responding flexibly to various lifestyles. It is also a huge table where the whole family can study or work and a playground for the children in conjunction with the roof terrace and loft.
