計画地は、富山市の中心部を運行する路面電車荒町駅より徒歩1分の場所に位置する。元証券会社であった5階建てビルの1階を、飲食店へと改修する計画。
同運営者によって今後隣地に新築とポケットパークが計画されており、ポケットパークは道行く人々の憩いの場にしたいという施主の想いがあった。
そこで施設全体のグランドレベルの繋がりをつくるため、隣地につくられるポケットパークからの緑が店内へと続いていくよう内装にも緑を取り入れ、さまざまな人が気軽に立ち寄れる公園のような空間を目指した。
ファサード側にメインの植栽帯、そのほかの植栽は吊り天井の上や照明器具と兼ね合わせ、客席上部に設けることで、食事やスタッフ動線に邪魔になることなく緑をふんだんに設えた。
ほかにも隣地との繋がりを考え、店外と店内の心理的ギャップが緩やかとなるよう内装の材料にはステンレスやモルタル、メインカウンターには万代塀の部材を使用し、外部的な要素を取り入れた。
一方で先鋭的な印象になりすぎないよう壁面は白を基調とし、人の手が触れるカウンターやテーブルには木を採用することで、さまざまな世代に受け入れられやすい大衆的な雰囲気を演出した。（鬼塚純平＋鬼塚来未）
A restaurant that brings people and greenery
It is a one-minute walk from Aramachi Station, a streetcar line in the center of Toyama City. The plan is to renovate the first floor of a five-story building that was formerly a securities company into a restaurant.
The owner plans to build a new building and a pocket park on the adjacent land, and the owner wants to make the pocket park a place of relaxation for passersby.
In order to create a ground-level connection between the entire facility, greenery was incorporated into the interior so that the greenery from the pocket park on the adjacent lot would continue into the restaurant, creating a park-like space where people from all walks of life could casually drop by.
The main planting area is located on the façade, and other plants are placed above the suspended ceiling and lighting fixtures, as well as above the seating area, to provide plenty of greenery without interfering with dining and staff flow lines.
In addition, considering the connection with the neighboring land, stainless steel and mortar were used for the interior materials, and materials from Bandai Fence were used for the main counter to create a gentle psychological gap between the outside and inside of the restaurant, thus introducing external elements.
On the other hand, to avoid an overly radical impression, white was used as the base color for the walls, and wood was used for the counters and tables that people’s hands come in contact with to create a popular atmosphere easily accepted by various generations. (Junpei Onizuka + Kurumi Onizuka)
