愛知県東部、自動車産業をはじめとする製造業が盛んな豊田市に位置する、アイウエアブランドJINSのロードサイド店舗の計画である。本計画では、多店舗展開するロードサイド型店舗でありながらその立地の特性を尊重し、地域性を反映した設計とした。
建物のメインコンセプトは「反復性」である。リズミカルに繰り返される外観デザインは、動的な印象と空間の広がりを生み出し、視覚的な魅力と地域との調和を目指している。外観には自動車の街としての特性を反映し、メタリックな重ね葺き折板を採用。これにより豊田市の工業的背景と調和し、現代的で洗練された印象を与えている。
内装デザインでは廃瓦を再利用したテラゾタイルを床仕上げに用い、屋内外を連続性のある空間としている。さらに、植栽や大きな開口部を取り入れ、自然光を効果的に取り込むことで、開放的で居心地のよい空間を創出した。什器デザインには、温かみのあるラーチ合板とステンレス素材を融合し、工業的な質感と自然な温もりが共存する独特なデザインを実現した。
工業的な質感と木材の温もりを組み合わせることで、JINSのもつ洗練されたデザイン性と、地域の顧客に愛されるブランドとしての姿を表現している。（岡田 宰）
An optical store with movement and expansiveness created by rhythmic repetition
This project is a roadside store for the eyewear brand JINS, located in Toyota City in eastern Aichi Prefecture, where the manufacturing industry, including the automobile industry, is thriving. The design reflects the area’s local character, respecting the location’s characteristics even though this roadside store has multiple stores.
The main concept of the building is “repetition. The rhythmically repeated exterior design creates a dynamic impression and expansive space, aiming for visual appeal and harmony with the community. Reflecting the characteristics of Toyota City as an automobile town, metallic overlapping folded panels were used on the exterior. This creates a modern and sophisticated impression in harmony with the industrial background of Toyota City.
The interior design uses terrazzo tiles made from recycled roof tiles for the floor finish, creating a sense of continuity between the interior and exterior spaces. In addition, plantings and large openings were used to effectively bring in natural light, creating an open and inviting space. For the fixture design, warm larch plywood and stainless steel materials were combined to create a unique design in which industrial texture and natural warmth coexist.
The combination of industrial texture and the warmth of wood expresses the sophisticated design of JINS and its image as a brand loved by local customers. (Tsukasa Okada)
