秋田県男鹿市は風も強く冬の気候は厳しいため、窓の前に空気層としてのバッファーゾンを用意することにした。
それは海の泡のように館内にもたくさん派生し、曲線を描いてフワフワと空間の中に現れ、柔らかい場を演出する。素材も不透明だったり半透明のものだったり、布だったりとすることで、さらに多様な空間を生んでいる。
カーテンは波紋のような模様の布地に男鹿の夕日やナマゲカラーを享受した、男鹿らしさを感じられるデザインを安東陽子氏から提案していただいた。

A hotel designed with air layers by the windows
Oga City in Akita Prefecture is known for its strong winds and harsh winter climate, so we decided to create a buffer zone in front of the windows to act as an air layer.
These zones spread throughout the building like sea foam, appearing in the space in soft, curving shapes to create a gentle atmosphere. The use of opaque, semi-transparent, and fabric materials further enhances the diversity of the space.
The curtains feature a fabric with a rippling pattern, incorporating the sunset and Namage colors of Oga, designed by Yoko Ando to evoke the essence of Oga.
