2世帯、計7人家族の住宅である。
交通量の多い前面道路に面しこの住宅は建っている。
比較的大きな住宅であるので、そのヴォリュームが街区に対して圧迫感を与えないよう慎重に計画を行った。要望された3台分の駐車場を確保し、断面、屋根勾配計画を意識することにより、建物正面からは平家にも見えるプロポーションを確保している。また、クールな外観とはうって変わって大屋根はすべて木構造を露わしていくことで、親しみ深い印象を与えている。
建築が主張しすぎずに、優しく家族の生活を包み込むような住宅を目指した。内部に入ると勾配を意識することで生まれた大きな吹き抜け空間を確保している。
この吹き抜けに面し各部屋が並び、家族皆のコミュニティが醸成されている。
また、リビング南面には屋根の中に大きな空洞を設け、光庭を確保することで明るい光が年中生活空間に降り注いでいる。
大黒柱に支えられた大屋根の下、明るく風通しのよい、クリアな住環境が確保されている。（西 和人）
A house with a large roof that does not feel oppressive while wrapping the atrium space
It is a two-family house for a total of seven people.
The house faces a busy front road.
Since the house is relatively large, it was carefully planned so that the volume would not be too oppressive to the city block. The requested parking space for three cars was secured, and the proportions of the house are designed to look like a single-story house from the front of the building by considering the cross-section and roof slope. In contrast to the cool exterior, the large roof is all exposed wood, giving the building a friendly impression.
We aimed to create a house that gently envelops the family’s life without being too assertive in its architecture. Once inside, a large atrium space is secured, created by the awareness of the slope of the building.
Each room faces this atrium, fostering a sense of community among the family members.
In addition, a large cavity was created in the roof on the south side of the living room to secure a light garden, allowing bright light to pour into the living space year-round.
Under the large roof supported by the main pillar, a bright, airy, and clear living environment is secured. (Kazuto Nishi)
