計画地は、長野県松本市の山と田園に囲まれた、南北に長い敷地。
恵まれた環境の中で、素直な佇まいとコストの追求を模索している。
まず、支持地盤が低かったために、地盤改良が必要であったが、改良はせずに支持層まで掘り下げ、建物を埋めることとしている。それによって大量に出た土は、周囲に盛ることで残土処理を削減し、周囲に埋没することとなった。
コンクリートによるトンネル状の建築の壁は、外部側を一般型枠の千鳥貼り、内部側は木繊セメント板によって組み、そのまま打ち込みとしている。それによって、脱型・断熱・遮音・仕上げ工事を省き、大きなコスト削減を図った。間仕切り壁はプライバシーのプライオリティによって高さを変え、すべて置き家具化することで工期の短縮を図っている。
部屋の中では床が下がっており、そこに入る様子は小動物がねぐらに潜る様子のようでもあり、外壁のコンクリートは1枚1枚型枠にズレをつくり、草を編んだ状態が抽象化されている。
小さなねぐらのような住宅はコストを徹底的に追求したうえで、静かな環境に過ごすための小さな住宅となる。その合理性もまた、自然界の行為と類似するのかもしれない。（土田拓也）
A small tunnel-shaped house placed in the dug
The planned site is a long north-south site surrounded by mountains and rice paddies in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
In this blessed environment, we seek to pursue a straightforward appearance and cost here.
First, although the ground improvement was necessary due to the low supporting ground, we decided to dig down to the supporting layer and bury the building without modification. The large amount of soil produced by this process was buried in the surrounding area, thereby reducing the amount of overburden disposal.
The exterior walls of the concrete tunnel-like structure are made of staggered general formwork, while the interior walls are made of wood-fiber cement board and cast in place. This eliminated the need for demolding, heat insulation, sound insulation, and finishing work, resulting in significant cost savings. The height of the partition walls is varied according to the priority of privacy, and all of the partition walls are made of furniture to shorten the construction period.
The room floor is lowered, and the view of entering the room is like that of a small animal diving into its roost. The concrete exterior walls are made by shifting the formwork, creating an abstract state of woven grass.
The small roost-like house became a small residence for spending time in a quiet environment after thoroughly pursuing cost. Its rationality may also be analogous to the act of nature. (Takuya Tsuchida)
