〈分棟の家〉は2019年秋、WEBデザイナーであるクライアントから職住一体の建築デザインを依頼されて完成した「オフィス兼住宅」である。
敷地は近畿圏郊外、職住一体建築は過去にもさまざまな形式が考案されているが、今回は分棟形式を計画した。
新型コロナウイルスの影響で都市型密集オフィスの再考が迫られる中、在宅勤務に最適な建築を目指した。設計のポイントは、2つある。
1つは、分棟形式である。通常1つの塊としてつくることが多い建築をあえて3棟に分節した。1棟はパブリックエリアとなるLDK、2棟目はプライベートエリアとなる子供部屋、そして最後の3棟目は家族の枠を超えて社会と繋がるオフィスである。
棟を分節することで、棟間に有効な外部空間（中庭）をつくることができる。この外部空間を通して光や風が室内の奥まで導かれる。また、渡り廊下を通って上記3棟を移動することで気持ちが切り替わる。
2つ目は、ガラスファサードである。分散された各棟の道路側はガラス張りとして、街に開く計画とした。室内外の緩衝帯となるのは、吹き抜け上部の天井から吊り下げられたカーテンと、道路側に植樹された樹々のみ。カーテンを操作することで日々の繋がりを調整することができ、また季節の移り変わりによる樹々の変化（落葉など）によっても街との繋がり方が変化する。夜には室内が照らされた行灯となり、やさしく街を照らす計画とした。（濱田 猛）
An office and residence with three separate house forms for different purposes, creating a good distance between work and living spaces
The “House in a Branch Building” is an “office and residence” completed in the fall of 2019 after the client, a web designer, asked us to design a building that combines work and residence.
The site is located in the suburbs of the Kinki region, and although we have planned various types of buildings integrating work and residence in the past, we planned an annexed building this time.
The new coronavirus has forced a reconsideration of dense urban offices, and we aimed to create an optimal building for telecommuting.
The two key design points are as follows.
The “annex” format (three uses divided into separate buildings)
The first building is the public area, and the second is the private area, the children’s room, and the third is the office, which is connected to society beyond the boundaries of the family.
By dividing the building into three separate buildings, an effective external space (courtyard) can be created between the buildings. Through this external space, light and wind will be guided to the house’s interior. Also, by moving between the three wings through the corridor, one can switch between the three wings.
Glass facade (architecture connected to the city)
The street side of each of the dispersed buildings was designed to be open to the city with glass walls. The only buffer zones between the interior and exterior are the curtains hanging from the ceiling above the atrium and the trees planted on the street side. Residents can operate the curtains to adjust the daily connection with the city and the way the connection with the city changes with the seasonal changes of the trees (e.g., leaf litter).
