YOKOSUKA PORT MARKET でイタリアンファストフードを提供するBUOSCANO.の店舗デザイン。
複数の店舗が集まる施設内にて、商品そのものがアイキャッチとなるよう、カウンターを共用通路まで延ばしフードショーケースが目につきやすいレイアウトとした。
本格的なイタリアンを気軽に楽しんでもらうコンセプトを店舗空間でも表現したいと考え、1枚ごとに表情の異なる粗面タイルや自然素材による左官材を用いた。
手仕事によって生まれる素直な表情により、親しみやすい雰囲気の中で上質な料理を楽しめる空間を目指した。
正面の壁は、還元焼成によって自然な色ムラをもったタイルの、自然な個体差がそのまま表情として建ち現れるよう、ネムリ目地で1枚1枚積み上げていった。
側面の壁とカウンターは、左官職人による手仕事がそのままテクスチュアとして表れている。（上島直樹）
Handcrafted finishes for eye-catching Italian fast-food restaurant
Store design for BUOSCANO., an Italian fast-food restaurant in YOKOSUKA PORT MARKET.
Wanting the products themselves to be the eye-catcher for the stores gathering together, the counter was extended to the shared pathway.
To give the diners the full experience of casual dining of authentic Italian cuisine, including the atmosphere – placing rough-surfaced tiles and plaster made from natural materials, each with its unique patterns.
The space was also thoughtfully designed to offer a welcoming ambiance where one can relish delectable cuisine while experiencing the authentic and genuine expression of handcrafted workmanship.
The front wall boasts tiles with unique, naturally uneven colors achieved through reduction firing.
These tiles were carefully stacked one by one with a closed-joint technique to preserve their distinct individual differences.
Meanwhile, the side walls and counters proudly display the raw craftsmanship of the skilled plasterer, left untouched and unadorned. (Naoki Kamijima)
